Another step closer for Gympie RSL’s re-opening

It has been a challenging time for our members, staff and the community over the past two months. We have missed seeing our members and can’t wait to welcome you back to the club soon.

This week, the government announced an early commencement of stage 2 restrictions. Last night, the Industry COVID Safe Plan for Queensland Clubs was released. This outlines the guidelines venues must follow to re-open.

This was another positive step towards our re-opening, but at this stage it is not viable for us to re-open due to the restrictions and renovations underway. However, we are very excited to be working towards a re-opening of the club for stage 3 in early July.

We are working incredibly hard behind the scenes to ensure that we provide a safe and welcoming venue for patrons and staff when we re-open. We will be implementing all measures from the Industry COVID Safe Plan, adhering to the strictest standards of hygiene.

We will be providing further information on what the club’s offers will look like to members in the lead up to our re-opening. So please make sure you are following Gympie RSL on Facebook with your preferences to “see first” and notifications turned on (further details on this below).

We would like to sincerely thank you all for your ongoing support. We are very excited to be making great progress on our renovations, which will provide a new community hub for our members.
