 Gympie RSL is open, with the majority of club services available for members and guests.

The health and safety of our customers and staff is our number one priority. As such, we are implementing all measures from the Industry COVID Safe Plan for Queensland Hotels and Clubs including:

  • Strict adherence to social distancing and capacity guidelines
  • Increased cleaning and disinfection throughout all areas
  • Completion of mandatory COVID-19 training by all staff
  • Maintaining an accurate register of all patrons
  • Providing contactless ordering and payment options
  • Instructing staff and customers who are unwell to not enter the venue
  • Encouraging all staff and customers to download the COVIDsafe app

While our focus is providing your favourite club products and services, some short-term changes are inevitable. From re-opening, affected services will include:

  • Our restaurant is operating with limited capacity. Bookings are highly recommended – call (07) 5482 1018
  • Our Courtesy Bus is now running on Friday and Saturday evenings 4pm – Midnight. Bookings are essential with limited numbers due to regulations. Call (07) 5482 1018
  • Entertainment has now returned, with soloists every Friday & Saturday night. Patrons must remain seated at all times. View upcoming gigs.

  • Members draws and birthday draws will be reintroduced once COVID restrictions allow.

We have made the most of our closure period to improve future products and services for members. We have also completed a review of our loyalty program and completed comprehensive staff training for all departments.

We are also very excited to announce the appointment of our new head chef Brian Lindsay and new Senior Duty Manager Aaron Thomas. Both commenced in July and bring with them a wealth of experience and expertise.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to be a member to visit?

Our standard conditions of entry will apply. Membership is not mandatory, however all visitors must sign in as either:

1. A member of a reciprocal club
2. A guest of a Gympie RSL member
3. A visitor if you reside more than 15km from the club

To reduce sign in requirements, we are encouraging all visitors to join the club. We are offering a limited time special where all new and renewing members will receive the value of their membership back in reward points to use throughout the club. Social membership (valid until 2025) is just $5!

Do I need to make a booking for the restaurant?

Bookings for Steers Steakhouse are highly recommended. We will accommodate walk-in customers where possible, however we recommend booking in advance to avoid disappointment. Please call us on (07) 5482 1018 to make a booking.

Do I need to book to play the pokies or have a drink in the bar?

No, bookings are only required for the restaurant. All other areas are open to all patrons.

Are the gaming machines (pokies) available

Yes, our gamign room is open.

All machines are available for members to play, however social distancing must be observed with one machine free between each play (or a minimum of 1.5m distance from other patrons). This does not apply to members of the same household.

How can join or renew my membership

Applications for new members and renewals can be completed at reception or online

Do I need to book for the Coffee Shop?

No, bookings are not required for our cafe. Seating is allocated on a first in basis. 

Is the Keno & TAB open?

Yes, both Keno & TAB will be open as usual. 

Will the club offer live entertainment?

Live enterainment has now returned to Friday & Saturday nights. See upcoming gigs 

Will gaming promotions be running?

During July, our regular weekly gaming promotions will not be conducted. We will be introducing a new weekly gaming promotions schedule in the coming months.

Will members draws be conducted?

Due to capacity limits, members darws are currently on hold. We will continue to monitor options to reintroduce these in the near future. 

Will birthday draws be held?

For members with a birthday after 1st March, birthday draws will be postponed until later in 2020. Please ensure you have supplied your updated mobile and email address to receive notifications about birthday draws.
